"Our mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence (AGI) benefits all of humanity."

About Metanthropic

Metanthropic Labs is an independent research organization dedicated to solving intelligence. Founded in November 2025 by Ekjot Singh, we operate on the thesis that the path to AGI lies in the development of increasingly capable general models, coupled with a foundational commitment to safety at every stage of the training pipeline.

We are currently in a phase of foundational research and infrastructure development. We do not view safety as an adjunct effort; it is the constraint under which we optimize for capability.

Research Pillars

Our technical agenda is rigorous and empirical. Under the direction of Ekjot Singh, our work focuses on three intersecting domains:

1. Scaling and Novel Architectures

We are investigating the limits of the scaling hypothesis. Our engineering efforts are focused on architecting next-generation models that are more efficient and scalable than current transformer-based systems, alongside developing rigorous data curation pipelines to ensure high-fidelity training signals.

2. Foundational Capabilities

We are pushing the frontier of what models can inherently do without fine-tuning.

3. Alignment and Interpretability

We cannot ensure the safety of systems we do not understand. Our research includes:

November 2025: Launching Metanthropic We have officially launched as an independent research entity. Led by Founder Ekjot Singh, the lab was established to pursue a specific technical path toward safe AGI. While our initial work is internal, we are committed to publishing our findings and releasing models that meet our safety standards in the future.
